Few days ago, I texted him that I would go to the bar on Saturday (which was yesterday) and when I texted him I was on my way, he never responded. That younger guy liked me and we exchanged numbers. The only reason why I spoke to one young guy at the gay bar is because this older gay guy was drunk and approached us and introduced me to this younger guy who he talks to.

#WHEN DID THEY START MAKING GAY PRIDE SHIRTS HOW TO#
Gay bars are a terrible setting, because I do not know how to approach a random guy. I tried a gay bar with my cousin and her friend. The Bay Area has a large amount of young people and I never seen California as an "aging population state" although the cost of living is so high out here. Majority of the Meetups are signed up early and attended by middle aged people and not even people old enough to be retired. Also, it seems like many young people sign up last minute. And when they do sign up, they will not show up in person. The one issue I have is whenever I look for a decent Meetup, I never barely see any young people signing up. Then I went to this one monthly gay hot tub party in some guy's backyard. I went to nude yoga two times, which is usually done every week. I have not really made friends yet, but I do seem to have luck. It seems like Meetups are the best source for making friends. It absolutely sucks when you do not grow up anywhere, because you will not have that decent circle friends unless you work really hard for it.ĭon't get me wrong, Bay Area has amazing people and people are nice out here. I live close to my cousin out here and it makes me sad how she has a circle of friends that she grew up with. I never really bothered to make friends during my first year, because I was all sad about being jobless (still cannot find a job after graduating May 2020) and plus we were in the pre-vaccine dark days of COVID anyways, but now I said to myself eff it, I am going to enjoy my life at the same time and I started wanting gay friends. I (23M)moved to the Bay Area in June 2020.
